Refund & Cancellation Policy

1. Scope
This Refund & Cancellation Policy ("Policy") applies to all purchases of credits/tokens ("Credits") on JAI Portal. Credits are digital units that enable access to AI generation services (e.g., image, video, audio, and other digital content generations). By purchasing Credits, you agree to this Policy, our Terms of Service, and any applicable regional consumer laws.
2. Unused Credits — Refund Eligibility
If you purchased Credits and have not used any Credits at all, you may request a refund within 14 days of the purchase date:
- If eligible, we will refund 100% of the amount paid to the original payment method.
- All unused Credits from the refunded purchase will be removed from your account once the refund is processed.
This rule reflects statutory withdrawal rights in EU/EEA, UK, and Turkey, and is offered as a global standard for fairness and user trust.
3. Partially Used Credits — Pro-Rata Refund
If you used any part of the Credits from your purchase, you may still request a refund within 14 days, but only for the unused portion:
- Used Credits are non-refundable.
- Unused Credits are refundable on a pro-rata basis (based on the price per Credit at the time of purchase).
Example: You buy 100 Credits for $100, use 30 Credits, then request a refund within 14 days → you receive a refund for the remaining 70 Credits ($70).
4. Fully Used Credits
If all purchased Credits have been used, refunds are not available.
5. Service Issues / Incorrect Charges
If you believe:
- a generation failed due to a platform/system error,
- Credits were deducted incorrectly,
- or you were charged wrongly,
please contact support. After investigation, we may provide:
- a refund, and/or
- restoration/replacement of Credits,
depending on the situation. Nothing in this Policy limits mandatory consumer remedies for defective or non-conforming digital services in applicable regions (especially Australia/NZ and EU/EEA).
6. How to Request a Refund
To request a refund, email support@jaitech.ai with:
- your account email,
- purchase date,
- order/transaction ID (if available),
- reason for the request.
We may request additional information to verify ownership and usage history.
7. Refund Method & Timing
Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method. Timing depends on your payment provider/bank and typically completes within 5–10 business days after approval.
8. Region-Specific Consumer Rights
8.1 EU/EEA Users
Under the EU Consumer Rights Directive, consumers generally have a 14-day right of withdrawal from distance/online contracts, including digital content and services.
For instantly supplied digital content/services, the withdrawal right may be lost once performance begins, only if you:
- expressly consent to immediate supply/performance, and
- acknowledge that you will lose your withdrawal right once supply begins.
Accordingly, EU/EEA users follow Sections 2–5 above. EU/EEA users may exercise their withdrawal right through a clear and easily accessible digital mechanism on the Platform (e.g., a "Withdraw/Cancel Purchase" request form/button), in line with applicable EU consumer law requirements.
8.2 UK Users
Under the UK Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, consumers have a 14-day cancellation right for distance contracts. Digital content must not be supplied during the cancellation period unless the consumer gives express consent and acknowledges loss of the cancellation right once supply starts. Accordingly, UK users follow Sections 2–5 above.
8.3 Australia / New Zealand Users
Nothing in this Policy excludes or limits your rights under Australian Consumer Law / NZ Consumer Guarantees, including remedies for major failures in digital services. If there is a major failure, you may be entitled to a refund or other statutory remedy even if Credits were used.
8.4 Turkey Users (Law No. 6502 & Distance Contracts Regulation)
If you are a consumer located in Turkey, your purchase is subject to Turkish Consumer Protection Law No. 6502 and the Regulation on Distance Contracts, which generally provide a 14-day right of withdrawal for distance sales.
For instantly supplied digital content/services, the withdrawal right may not apply once performance begins, provided that you:
- request immediate performance, and
- acknowledge loss of your withdrawal right after performance starts.
Accordingly, Turkey users follow Sections 2–5 above. This section will be interpreted in line with current and future amendments to Turkish Distance Contracts regulations, including changes effective from 1 January 2026.
8.5 US / Canada & Other Regions
This global Policy applies. Any non-waivable local consumer rights remain unaffected.
